Imagined by Peter Philips, Creative and Image Director for Dior Makeup. To share the secrets from backstage runway shows with all. Dior Backstage unveils for the holiday season three new essentials. Essential, universal products for makeup enthusiasts who want to achieve professional results with expert formulas and user-friendly tools. To suit all skin tones and, most importantly, all desires.

Plunge into the expert world of the backstage with face & body glow, a genuine concentration of shimmers with a natural finish, the custom eye palette, a collection of shades and finishes to create any look, and the professional eyelash curler.

FACE & BODY GLOW

THE UNIVERSAL MULTI-USE HIGHLIGHTER FOR THE FACE AND BODY

A new addition to the collection, Face & Body Glow is the perfect complement to the face & body foundation. Full of golden shimmers, free of any pigment, it adapts all skin tones without leaving the skin dark or grey. Tested backstage like every face products in the line, it provides a glowy finish that lasts all day and can withstand contact with water and high temperatures.

Mix with foundation to enhance the skin’s glow. Wear on bare skin for a luminous, natural finish. Apply on the body to highlight the chest, the curve of the arms or legs.

Housed in the same practical, lightweight bottle as the foundation and primer, face & body glow is travel-friendly with a precision tip making it easy to apply it in the right amount.

TIPS FROM PETER PHILIPS:

With Face & Body Glow, it’s a question of intensity. Mix with foundation to achieve an all-over glow, or apply over foundation to create touches of light. Apply a few drops for a discreet daytime glow or a little bit more to brighten the skin and bring out its natural glow.

THE CUSTOM EYE PALETTE

THE UNIVERSAL SMOKY EYE PALETTE WITH SHADOW-TO-LINER TRANSFORMING GEL

The new Dior Backstage palette: Nine containers for a multitude of possibilities. Four scintillating shades: Cool silver and taupe with warm bronze and chocolate are complemented by a dynamic matte black, an evanescent white highlighter and a gold top coat infused with oversized pearlescent particles. In the two remaining containers, two essentials for an even more personalized eye look. A professional primer for a long-lasting adherence of the shadows and a more intense finish, as well as a gel that transforms any eyeshadow into a true eyeliner.

Applied in a wash of colour, in a halo or as a liner, each shade works in harmony with the others to create an array of looks from the most natural to the boldest smoky eyes.

TIPS FROM PETER PHILIPS:

Applied with any of the three eyeshadow brushes from the backstage range, the shades remain sheer. Patted on with fingertips, they become more metallic. And when mixed with the gel they transform into eyeliner. The holiday season is the perfect opportunity to try different looks: Blend shades to create unique smoky eyes, brighten the eyes with the gold top coat or dare to go bold with a unique liner in colors like silver, for example.

THE EYE LASH CURLER

THE ULTRA-SMOOTH SQUEEZABLE EYELASH CURLER

The new eyelash curler from Dior Backstage: A new tool that is easy to use with ergonomic rubber handles. Squeeze to capture every lash and create astonishing curl. With a flatter design than conventional lash curlers, it adapts to all eyelid shapes without exception.

TIPS FROM PETER PHILIPS:

For an elegant curl, it is best to squeeze the lashes from the base toward the tips, from the inner corner outward. Even if eyes are tired, they instantly appear revived. All that’s left to do is apply waterproof mascara to better set the new shape of the lashes.

MISS DIOR IS A WOMAN IN LOVE

Miss Dior is the everlasting heroine of a fashion house that has made beauty its destiny and the signature of its flamboyance. She was born as a couture perfume at the hands of a creator who set out in 1947 to craft a fragrance that would be as lovely as his dresses. The perfume of an elegant, joyful young woman, a woman in love!

MISS DIOR: THE STORY

Paris 1947. With her slender figure, regal poise and graceful step, she hastens down the glittering paving stones of Avenue Montaigne. Are you wondering if she’s pretty? Well, she is more than that. She is radiant with the nonchalance of a Parisian lady and the elegance of a princess. She is light-hearted and sophisticated, elegant and youthful, passionate and distinguished.

Catherine Dior –for that is her name– stops in front of number 30 Avenue Montaigne, the address of the couture House that has just been founded by her beloved older brother, Christian. As she hurries up the stairs of the grand town house, young Catherine thinks about how often he mentions his desire to create a new kind of fragrance. How it has to reflect the soul of his dresses.

Catherine Dior opens the door of the studio and makes a notable entrance. Everyone is won over by her charm. She is quite delightful. Seated around the work table covered with sketches are Christian Dior and Mitzah Bricard, his outspoken muse. She looks up, her eye makeup a work of art in itself, stares at Catherine and exclaims in amusement: “Here’s Miss Dior!” Christian freezes. “Miss Dior, now there’s a name for my perfume!” he enthuses. Thus, “Miss Dior” was born and that is the story of its impertinently joyful name.

Miss Dior - Sofia Coppola

Miss Dior is the most beautiful woman in love and famous director Sofia Coppola captures in film this fresh, charming and glowing with happiness heroine. Life is rosy in her eyes, “la vie en rose”.

When he sought to create his first perfume, a fragrance as elegant as the dresses he designed, Christian Dior came up with these now famous words: “Make me a perfume that smells like love”.
Today, Oscar winner Natalie Portman is more beautiful than ever
as the infinitely graceful and radiant heroine of Miss Dior; the face of love.

Shot by Tim Walker, Natalie Portman wears a creation by Raf Simons, new Creative Director of the House of Dior. Delicately adorned with layered chiffon, this white organza dress stands as a modern echo to the famous Miss Dior dress embroidered with a thousand flowers and designed in 1949.
