Touche Eclat Le Teint

The iconic, magic light of Touche Eclat, now encapsulated in a perfected foundation with new strands of innovation. YSL Beauté unveils the new Touche Eclat Le Teint.

Touche Eclat is the secret weapon of women around the globe when instant luminous glow to the complexion is needed. YSL Beauté labored to create a foundation that could match the illuminating prowess of Touche Eclat and so in 2012, TOUCHE ECLAT LE TEINT was born.

Today, YSL Beauté introduces a new generation, advanced formula that has the power to visibly awaken and energize the skin. Marking a new dawn in flawless complexion, it delivers sublime radiance, weightlessness, and the perfect coverage for an even and luminous skin enlivened with a healthy-looking glow.

Translucent hybrid semi-spheres have been added to golden pigments to capture light and diffuse a continuous, controlled, soft radiance all day long – without any shine.

Combined to the existing pigments, this association offers a zero-weight, flawless, translucent coverage that allows light to breathe through. This lighter-than-ever, ultra-comfortable fluid feels lightweight on the skin.

Now infused with the Anti-Fatigue Complex housed inside the Touche Eclat pen, TOUCHE ECLAT LE TEINT banishes shadows and dispels dullness instantly. Vitamin E helps to protect from free radicals, while Ruscus Extract helps to combat visible signs of fatigue, soothes skin and boosts micro-circulation.

Glow, not shine. Skin is luminously and naturally enlivened, sculpted by a magic light. Its flaws are erased and its texture is smoothed.

TOUCHE ECLAT LE TEINT: awakening effects, zero- weight radiance, flawless coverage.

“The transparent pigments in this formula create a ‘barely-there’ impression on the skin. Its glow gives the illusion of health and vitality, tricking the eye – and the wearer – into feeling and looking better.”

“The Y shape reservoir is deep enough to withstand a few drops, but don’t fill it all the way up immediately. Add just one droplet at a time – less is always more when it comes to foundation.”

“Begin by making circular movements on the face with the brush, massaging the foundation into the skin, starting from the centre of the face and moving outwards, spreading it evenly.“

“For any areas that need a bit of extra attention, tap into the skin with a stippling motion to deliver more product where you need it – perhaps around the nose, chin and forehead. Keep the layer as thin as possible to help unify the colour.”

The secrets behind Crème de La Mer

What began as one man’s journey became transformative experience that would be
whispered about all over the world…
Some say it’s magic.

Some say it’s science.
Others just believe.

As the groundbreaking skin-care brand turned 50, we reveal the secrets behind the delicate science of Crème’s enduring appeal.

1.  Driven to find a treatment for his own burn scars, it took aerospace physicist Dr. Max Huber 12 years and 6,000 experiments with ingredients and time-intensive bio-fermentation to develop the formula for Crème de la Mer. Today, the rarefied mixture has never been more popular.

2.  Each jar of Crème de la Mer is hand-filled within eight hours of the formula’s completion, with the room’s temperature tightly controlled.

3. When La Mer’s sea kelp is harvested in the spring and fall, it’s shipped directly to the lab on ice. Because only the top fronds are used, the plant remains unharmed.

4. To speed up the fermentation process, the Miracle Broth is exposed to pulsating sound waves and light energy from specialized equipment, which intensifies potency. To maintain the integrity of every batch, a small portion of Broth from the previous is added to the next.

5. Known officially as the Miracle Broth, La Mer’s secret sauce is a powerful blend of sea kelp, calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, lecithin and vitamins C, E and B12, along with oils of citrus, eucalyptus, wheat germ, alfalfa and sunflower. Fresh limes are hand peeled to maximize the living benefits of the rind, then added as Lime Tea Extract.

Recently, the luxe sea-kelp-based skin-care brand has opened its first spa in the U.S. at the Baccarat Hotel & Residences in Midtown Manhattan. Opulent services—like a bespoke, 90-minute La Mer Baccarat Facial, with a diamond-powder exfoliation and warming facial massage using Baccarat stones—harness the healing energies of the sea to help guests relax.

“I applied a thin layer of Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra, buffed in to even out her skintone naturally. When we started getting ready for the premiere later on, I only freshened up with concealer.

I also used Éclat Miracle, which is the only highlighter I trust to the red carpet. I applied on cheekbones, cupid’s bow (the centre of the top lip) and the centre of the nose. I freshened up with this later on too. This liquid highlighter was discontinued before my arrival at Lancôme, but as it’s my holy grail I’m bringing it back very soon… watch this space!

After a dusting of powder, I applied Belle de Teint in 04 Belle de Miel along her cheekbones for a light contour, buffed and blended really well.

For cheeks, I applied Blush Subtil in Rose Sable very lightly on to the apples of the cheeks for a fresh hint of colour.”

“For Kate’s eyes I started by using Hypnôse Drama Eyes Palette in Brun au Naturel to subtly sculpt and add definition, without taking over from the liner. I used the colour on the left hand side of the palette all over the lid and the flat brown shade (in the middle of the palette) in the socket, blended well, to give a bit more definition. I also buffed these two shades at the outer edge of the lower lashes and used the lightest shade (on the right hand side of the palette) to highlight at the inner corners.

To line, I used Artliner in Black, keeping it thin and fading out before the inner corner. At the outer corner I lifted and elongated the liner into a kitten flick. Once the shape was right, and while the liner was still drying, I added a smudge of the chocolate brown shade from the eyeshadow palette – this is a trick I use a lot for the red carpet to soften black liner while keeping it punchy.

Next I curled Kate’s lashes, layered lots of black Grandiôse Mascara and added a set of 3/4 false lashes by D.U.P. which were quite a bit longer at the outer corner than the middle and gave the illusion of a winged eye shape.”

“I put another dash of Éclat Miracle again at the top lip before shaping Kate’s lips with Contour Pro lip liner in 201 Beige Noisette and then applied the beautifully chic lipstick, Shine Lover in 218 – it was the perfect nude for Kate, and the sheer formula finished off the look to perfection. She also took this with her in her bag as it’s an easy one to reapply without a mirror.”

Shot in London by photographer Mario Testino, under the creative direction of Christopher Bailey, British models Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne, front the new My Burberry Eau de Toilette campaign. Wearing their heritage trench coats, Kate and Cara capture the effortless spirit of My Burberry with their radiant energy.

Created by Chief Creative and Chief Executive Officer, Christopher Bailey, working in collaboration with perfumer Francis Kurkdjian, My Burberry Eau de Toilette for women is a fresh interpretation of the iconic Eau de Parfum.

“The idea was to create a contemporary scent which preserved the elegant quality of My Burberry. On top, the citrus freshness of the bergamot was replaced by the lemon flower to give the Eau de Toilette its brightness. At the heart, the geranium was transformed into a fresh bouquet of fluffy peonies and the quince accord replaced with peach flower – a new way to translate the idea of fruitiness. Whereas the Eau de Parfum included patchouli at its base, a lighter, woody accord of musk and white moss brings sensuality and radiance to the Eau de Toilette. The Damask rose remains, retaining the elegance and confidence of My Burberry Eau de Parfum,” states Kurkdjian.

Experience the fragrance that captures your glamour, your sophistication, your bravado. A sexy, provocative contrast of two distinctively different accords—rich roses awakened by ripe fruit, with a seductive velvet creme accord—provide an intriguing dual impression. It’s a true innovation in fragrance design, as complex and fascinating as the woman who inspires it.

The new product promises absolute comfort and easy brush application for flawless and luminous skin, just like you’d spent a day in the great outdoors. Peter Philips gives new freedom to beauty with this line.
A few years ago he reinvented lipstick with Rouge Coco, and now he redefines the idea of complexion products and develops a tasteful palette for Les Beiges, with no risk of mistakes or excess. “I wanted a refined, visible yet discreet result,” he explains. “I had to avoid the trap of excessive pearly effects and flamboyant tans to achieve this healthy glow.”

Miss Dior 2013 | Natalie Portman

Miss Dior is the everlasting heroine of a fashion house that has made beauty its destiny and the signature of its flamboyance. She was born as a couture perfume at the hands of a creator who set out in 1947 to craft a fragrance that would be as lovely as his dresses. The perfume of an elegant, joyful young woman, a woman in love!

Miss Dior Eau de Toilette, an audacious chypre with a jasmine heart.

Paris 1947. With her slender figure, regal poise and graceful step, she hastens down the glittering paving stones of Avenue Montaigne. Are you wondering if she’s pretty? Well, she is more than that. She is radiant with the nonchalance of a Parisian lady and the elegance of a princess. She is light-hearted and sophisticated, elegant and youthful, passionate and distinguished.

Catherine Dior –for that is her name– stops in front of number 30 Avenue Montaigne, the address of the couture House that has just been founded by her beloved older brother, Christian. As she hurries up the stairs of the grand town house, young Catherine thinks about how often he mentions his desire to create a new kind of fragrance. How it has to reflect the soul of his dresses.

Catherine Dior opens the door of the studio and makes a notable entrance. Everyone is won over by her charm. She is quite delightful. Seated around the work table covered with sketches are Christian Dior and Mitzah Bricard, his outspoken muse. She looks up, her eye makeup a work of art in itself, stares at Catherine and exclaims in amusement: “Here’s Miss Dior!” Christian freezes. “Miss Dior, now there’s a name for my perfume!” he enthuses. Thus, “Miss Dior” was born and that is the story of its impertinently joyful name.

Miss Dior - Sofia Coppola

Miss Dior is the most beautiful woman in love and famous director Sofia Coppola captures in film this fresh, charming and glowing with happiness heroine. Life is rosy in her eyes, “la vie en rose”.

When he sought to create his first perfume, a fragrance as elegant as the dresses he designed, Christian Dior came up with these now famous words: “Make me a perfume that smells like love”.
Today, Oscar winner Natalie Portman is more beautiful than ever
as the infinitely graceful and radiant heroine of Miss Dior; the face of love.

Shot by Tim Walker, Natalie Portman wears a creation by Raf Simons, new Creative Director of the House of Dior. Delicately adorned with layered chiffon, this white organza dress stands as a modern echo to the famous Miss Dior dress embroidered with a thousand flowers and designed in 1949.
